one small change

I just read a blog post from a dear friend and her One Small Change for last month. The goal is to write at the first of each month one small change you want to make that will reduce your carbon footprint. I wrote for well over a year ways to help save the world with Cool Moms Care, yet for the last year since I stopped writing I have not been working to change too much of my behaviors in my eco-conscious world.

Reading this blog has inspired me. I want to get back into doing things to save the world, outside of the mental and spiritual journeys I am continuing. I want to be a Whole person, so I need to bring the physical back into my life.

The true question, then, is what do I do? I already use CFLs, leave lights off, have our thermostat turned to a reasonable setting, don't leave the water running for just about anything, recycle, compost, no chemicals in cleaning (except the occasional bleach for stripping cloth diapers), cloth diapering... I just thought of it!

THAT'S IT!

We buy lots of items from the bulk item section of the store. I want to start bringing my own containers to fill up when we go. This is not small feat either, as we use glass containers for most of our bulk items... but here goes.
